To perceive geometric forms and lines in tree shapes. To identify leafy (deciduous) and evergreen (coniferous) trees.

Identify tree profiles, shapes and lines |

Based on tree pictures cut from magazines, draw the outlines of different trees to see each tree’s distinct profile. Identify the geometric shapes (triangles, rectangles, etc.) and lines (curving, straight, broken) in each profile. (45 minutes)

Identify deciduous and coniferous trees |
