Sketching trees |

With a pencil, sketch trees in their natural environment (park/school grounds) from different viewpoints: seen from the side, from beneath, from near, from afar. (45 minutes)

Drawing a cluster of trees |

In the classroom, choose one of your sketches and use it as your basis for drawing a cluster of five trees (charcoal/pencil). Make them connect in some way, like having the leaves of one tree touch another. (60 minutes)
