Sailboats used in fishing
Breton fishermen used various types of sailboats. Depending on their size and rigging, these boats might be schooners, bisquines, bankers (bound for the Grand Banks of Newfoundland), trawlers, sardine boats, or luggers (small fishing boats rigged with one or more lugsails).
