Copper Inuit

The Copper Inuit live north of Yellowknife in the Central Canadian Arctic. They used to rely on hunting ringed seals in the winter and hunting caribou and fishing in the spring. Unlike other Inuit, they stored provisions of caribou, fish and seal in caches made of flat stones or blocks of freshwater ice.
